Gone Girl

Gone Girl is a 2014 American mystery thriller film directed by David Fincher and adapted by Gillian Flynn from her 2012 novel of the same name. It stars Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, and Carrie Coon.

The story begins as a mystery about a man whose wife has gone missing and the suspicions pointing to him soon after. It examines dishonesty, the media, the economy's effects on marriage, and the way people perceive one another. With his wife's disappearance having become the focus of an intense media circus, a man sees the spotlight turned on him when it's suspected that he may not be innocent.

The film had its world premiere on opening night of the 52nd New York Film Festival on September 26, 2014. It had its nationwide theatrical release on October 3 and has been received well both critically and commercially.

Annabelle

Annabelle is a 2014 American supernatural horror film directed by John R. Leonetti, produced by James Wan, and written by Gary Dauberman. It is both a prequel to and spin-off of The Conjuring. The film stars Annabelle Wallis, Ward Horton, and Alfre Woodard. A couple begins to experience terrifying supernatural occurrences involving a vintage doll shortly after their home is invaded by satanic cultists. The film was released worldwide on October 3, 2014.

Annabelle premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, on September 29, 2014.

Big Hero 6

Big Hero 6 is a 2014 American 3D computer-animated superhero action-comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios in association with Walt Disney Studios and released by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The film is directed by Don Hall and Chris Williams, and is the 54th animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series. Inspired by the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name, the film tells the story of a young robotics prodigy named Hiro Hamada, who forms a superhero team to combat a masked villain responsible for the death of Hiro's older brother. The special bond that develops between plus-sized inflatable robot Baymax, and prodigy Hiro Hamada, who team up with a group of friends to form a band of high-tech heroes.

Big Hero 6 premiered at the Tokyo International Film Festival on October 23, 2014 and at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival in 3D on October 31, 2014. It was theatrically released in the United States on November 7, 2014, and was met with positive reviews.
